Idle Income buildings in We Rule are items that produce a certain amount of xp and gold per X number of hours that another player CANNOT place an order at. These buildings are incredibly reliable and can make the difference between leveling up quickly and not, especially if you do not yet have a lot of friends placing orders.

Best Idle Income Bets
- Best Bargain: The mayan and oriental residences deliver 225 and 160cp every hour respectively. Its hard to beat that and the cost is 25000c and 18000c. But you may prefer thecabaña which delivers 150 every three hours for only 5400. Sooner or later, you’ll get tired of hourly harvests anyway.
- Best Return: The ballista delivers 50cp every four hours and takes up very little space. But the initial investment is 50000c.
- Best Experience: The wisdom grove delivers 540xp every six hours (90xp hourly) but the initial investment is 160000c (this does not make it the best deal).
Carriages
These may or may not be seasonal but they only come as gifts, and the royal carriages require boosting. If you get a carriage as a gift, what the hell? It’s worth sticking somewhere. You will probably have to boost 50m to be sure of a royal carriage, which to my mind makes it not worth the return (especially since they’re not as pretty).
Decorations
It’s hard to say which of the income generating properties make the most sense. On an hourly basis the oasis outperforms the ruby grove three to one in experience and slightly more than 50 percent better in coins. It outperforms the diamond by 2.5 times in xp and only has a slight advantage in coins. The oasis ouperforms thefount by 25 percent in coins and only a fraction in experience.
The battlements, on the other hand, deliver almost 50cp per hour and can be used to create some interesting patterns. At 10000c cost they allow lower level players to start adding some quick cash and experience before the groves become available. I would go so far as to say you would be better off with the battlements than the orange groves. The ballistas deliver slightly more than groves but cost five times as much. They take up more space than a grove although they can be tucked together more tightly.
You can fit approximatley four founts or groves into the space of one oasis The numbers will even out the more you plant.. When I try to stack them, I can fit even more groves into the same space and slighly fewer founts. The founts are slightly cheaper and the ruby groves cost ten percent as much (10000 v 100000c).
Groves
The wisdom grove is unique in that it delivers xp almost exclusively (kind of like the seasonal sleigh) at 90xp per hour. But it is also the most expensive item around. You might be better off with the ballista because 3 deliver 99xp per hour and an additional 19c but the total cost is 10000c less (and you can start building them at L17).
That being the case, the wisdom groves probably stack more tightly so if you’re sitting around L50 with boatloads of cash and need something else to stack, go with it,
The sapphire outperforms the ruby 2.5 times in coins and 2 times in xp but, like the diamond, you can only buy it with mojo except for the occasional cash sale (which will probably run close to 15000c per grove). If you’re going to blow mojo on diamonds, wait for a sale and blow it on sapphires instead (because of the reduced price of mojo). Until you reach L50 and have cash to burn, I still think rubies and founts are the better bets, and rubies still deliver a great return for their low comparitive cost.
Other considerations
For high level players, with coins to burn, I would say it’s pretty much a wash. Make use of them all. But if you’re building your kingdom and pushing to reach L30 (and even 40), go with the rubies. The combined cost reduction and return for space make them a far better bargain. Drop an oasis in if you want the decoration (the first one’s free for finishing the quest), You will actually get a higher return in approximately the same space for about 40 percent of the cost.
Seasonal
On festive occasions seasonal items such as the holiday sleigh and Mardis Gras floats appear and then disappear after a week or three. The sleighs, which were tiny provided 25xp per hour, well worth the 7000 coin investment. The floats take up as much space as a ruby grove, cost more than twice as much in coins and deliver fewer combined points per hour. You should be able to guess what my feelings are on the subject.
